2017 Summer Camps for children who are over age 1 and confidently walking to students entering the 6th grade. Camps are offered in one week sessions that begin in July and run through August.

Out of this World! Outer Space
How do we, as astronauts, create the best way to visit outer space? Students will engage in our marvelous galaxy by investigating things regarding the sun, moon, the planets, the stars and beyond. Student will pretend to be astronauts in order to live in an adventure that is out of this world. After their research and investigations, students will make visual representation of our outer space and the best machine that they can use to get there.
How do we, as artists, create an art masterpiece with our body’s movements? This camp is full of art activities, discovery, and adventurous creativity for children of all ages. Students will be introduced to art from cultures around the world and the vocabulary, and concepts to express their own masterpieces. And we’ll explore techniques like squeezing, rolling, blowing, and more to create their own personal work of art. This camp will set out to prove that art is a creative process and not just a finished product.
Once Upon a Time, A Dinosaur
How do we, as paleontologists, recreate the Mesozoic era? What was life really like millions of years ago when dinosaurs walked the earth? In this camp, students will have the opportunity to investigate and discover the world during the Mesozoic Era. The students will pretend to be paleontologists to uncover the types of dinosaurs that existed, how they lived, their habitat, and how they lived together.
Splish Splash Water Fun
July 31 – August 4
How do we create the best water game? Water is everywhere in our world and we use it every day to drink, cook, wash and play. Students will play, scoop, pour, and explore water to investigate the magical and surprising qualities of this important resource. This is a wonderful summer camp where students will learn about the state of water, its physical properties, aquatic wildlife, the water we drink, and the importance of conserving it.
My Scientific Lab
How do we, as scientists, can explore the changes in matter? In this camp, students will be exposed to numerous scientiﬁc experiments that will activate their curiosity and senses. In the long run of this week, students will pretend to be scientists that experiment the physical and chemical changes in matter. Students will investigate using the scientiﬁc method where they will construct a hypothesis and in the end prove their results. This camp will open doors for future scientists while they explore, learn, and have fun.
